About your trip

This tour from Marrakech immerses you in the diversity of the Moroccan landscape. After a stopover in charming Essaouira, you'll ride along the Atlantic coast, before crossing the Anti-Atlas and reaching the spectacular Dades and Todra gorges. The Merzouga desert awaits you with its majestic dunes, then you'll head back up to Marrakech via the Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, the village of Telouet and the Tichka Pass, for a beautiful return journey.

Day 1 : Arrival day

Exploring Marrakech, Welcome Dinner, Tour Briefing

After your transfer to the hotel, this first day is devoted to acclimatisation, administrative formalities and a general briefing on the tour. The earlier you arrive in Marrakech, the more time you will have to explore Jemaa El Fena square and its lively streets.  Welcome dinner.

Marrakech - Essaouira 190 Km

First half day riding. We get used to the bikes and Moroccan traffic. Easy ride through light hills and Argan Trees fields. As we approach Essaouira, the sea breeze and dunes herald our arrival on the Atlantic coast, where we end the day exploring the historic medina and the traditional harbor.

Day 3

Essaouira - Mireleft 300 Km

Leaving Essaouira, following the Atlantic coast with its spectacular beaches and cliffs. After a lunch break on the beach, we ride through arid landscapes towards Tiznit, before reaching Mirleft. The day ends with a dinner overlooking the ocean, with the sun setting on the wild beaches of Mirleft.

Mireleft - Tafraoute 250 Km

We leave Mirleft and the Atlantic, passing through coastal landscapes before entering the Anti-Atlas mountains.we follow winding roads between Berber villages and palm groves, offering breathtaking panoramas, before arriving at Tafraoute, famous for its rock formations and almond trees in bloom.

Tafraoute - Taroudant. 200 Km

Leaving Tafraoute, we cross the Anti-Atlas with its rocky landscapes, then reach Ighrem, a hilltop village offering spectacular views. Continuing on to Tiout, we pass through verdant oases before arriving in Taroudant, a fortified town nicknamed the "little Marrakech", where we end our day in a great guest house. One of our day highlights will also be visiting an Argan Oil cooperative runned and operated by women.

Taroudant - Agdz 290 Km

A morning dedicated to argan oil, saffron and the datier palm. The route heads due east, skirting the High Atlas range. We pass through Taliouine (home of saffron) and Tazenakht (home of hand-woven Berber carpets) before reaching the Drâa Valley and our accommodation in the middle of a palm grove as lush as it is steeped in history.

Agdz - Merzouga. 310 Km

A transition stage heading due East for total immersion in the desert.  An epic day, with every bend bringing you closer to the Sahara, revealing a landscape in constant metamorphosis, between desert valleys dotted with acacia trees and majestic dunes. Let the magic of the desert work

Merzouga (Rest Day)

A day of rest under the sign of the magic of the desert. 4x4 excursion to meet nomadic families, discovery of green oases, lazing by the pool before a second night to the rhythm of tam tams and desert music. A day to connect with the desert before continuing our Moroccan adventure.

Day 9

Merzouga - Boumalne Dadès 290 Km

The dunes of Merzouga give way to the oases of Tinejdad and the vertiginous Todra and Dades gorges. A beautiful stage where the majesty of the desert gives way to the splendour of the canyons. Southern Morocco in all its glory.

Day 10

Boumalne Dades - Ouarzazate 200 Km

Leaving Boumalne, the climb to the Tizi n'Tazazert offers tight bends and breathtaking views of arid mountains, tinged with red and ochre. Crossing the pass reveals a wild landscape before the descent to Nkob, where you discover a village surrounded by kasbahs in the heart of the desert plateaux. The road to Agdz then crosses the Drâa valley, where an immense palm grove winds between rocky mountains and adobe ksour. At the end of the day, the arrival in Ouarzazate brings this epic journey of varied landscapes to a close, between green oases, arid landforms and traditional architecture.

Ouarzazate - Marrakech. 220 Km

From Ouarzazate, the road leads first to Aït Ben Haddou, a fortified village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the red earth kasbahs stand proud in the sunshine. Continuing towards Telouet, the road becomes more winding, passing through small Berber villages nestling in the mountains. The kasbah of Telouet, former palace of the Lords of Glaoui, is a must for exploring this architecture rich in history. The climb to the Tichka Pass, the high point of the day, offers breathtaking views over the valleys and peaks of the Atlas Mountains before the gradual descent back to Marrakech, marking the end of a wonderful adventure combining mountain scenery, culture and history..
